I have a friend who runs her own clothing label.
She refuses to outsource her sewing, because the only way to do this involves paying shite sweatshop rates to people who have few if any industrial rights.
So she sits in front of her sewing machine for days on end, paying herself $2 an hour 'cause she can't stand the thought of paying someone else such a crap wage.
